Banaue Rice Terraces

6 saves

Sagada, Philippines • Memory •

The 8th Wonder of the World lies in the Philippines. After killing millions of people and giving balance to the universe, Thanos sighed with relief and settled at Banaue Rice Terraces. While they didn’t actually go to the Philippines to shoot this scene, the fact that they included this in the movie is mind blowing. I was fortunate enough to visit the Banaue Rice Terraces when I was just a little girl and I must say my heart was filled with wonder and delight when I saw with my own two eyes the terraces. Even as a child, I thought of the people who actually made this wonder into a reality. It really deserves to be one of the great wonders of the world.

Baguio, Philippines • Memory •

When I was just a little girl, my family and I used to sell souvenir items in Mines View Park. One of my first memories in this place is watching as the sun rose with my eyes wide open and beaming with wonder. That’s one of my most precious memories when I was a child.

Anguib Beach

Tuguegarao City, Philippines • Wishlist •

Anguib Beach is dubbed as the Boracay of the North. Unlike Boracay, this beach isn’t packed with tourists in the summer season so it’s a secluded and perfect getaway with your friends and loved ones. Just like Boracay, it has white sand and beautiful beach. You can endlessly lounge in pure bliss while basking in the sun in this paradise. Fortunately this is just a few hours away from my city so the only thing I have to do is get a summer body and I’m off to the Boracay of the North.

Batanes, although it’s mostly ravaged by typhoons every year is still one of the best island of the Philippines because of its stunning destinations. An island tour in Batanes where we can explore a lighthouse, a tunnel, chapels and cathedrals is a creative way to have a date full of exploration. But it’s beach and hills are two of the best places where we could spend our next vacation. Imagine having an entire island to yourself. It’s mind blowing how nature can leave us breathless. Batanes can definitely take your breath away because of its pure and undefiled beauty.

Palawan is probably one of the last places in the Philippines where nature is at its finest. Beaches, underground rivers and coral reefs and many more stunning places are waiting to be explored in this paradise. Next summer, Palawan is definitely at the top of my summer getaway list. FYI: The Underground River at Puerto Princesa Palawan was voted in 2012 by the global community as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. This is posted at
