i was all giddy and anticipating for fresh lobsters, but what really caught my palate’s attention was their shrimp that’s bathing in that simple sauce of butter and garlic. they ensure and swear on just using quality yet imported new zealand butter in it and it sure pays to use the best of the best in your ingredients ‘coz it makes the dish shine, raved about and worth cravings for more. the biscuits is another LOVE of mine! the salt, the sweet and the warmth was just perfection together when tou bite in to it and together w/ their seafood offerings - is truly the best combination.

truly a modern tasty treat when you dine here at modern shanghai. their recipes are claimed from way back yet the taste surpasses the test of time. the XLBs here are at par w/ the rest of the chinese restos, but it doesnt mean that it’s bad - i’d say, the usual. as for the hakaw, ‘coz i LOVE this dimsum more than my life, haha, it’s good to satisfy that craving for this full shrimp dumpling. what was a bit of a highlight and a defo crowd fave was the salted egg filled buns. i’d say, better than its competitor; as evidenced by the 2 empty containers i finished by myself. not overly salty, w/ a trace of sweetness yet tremensously delightful.

oh my gosh! their all-meat platter is just...wonderful. melt in your mouth goodness, quality fresh meats and the smell the moment it hits that grill plate, was completely appetizing. their banchans too have the same appeal of goodness and authencity. the japchae was commendable and tasty (that itself can fill me good). another note worthy side was their rabokki, while i thought i can only see them in korean films/series or mukbangs, it can be ordered here and y’all can have that real an-yeong food experience ‘coz bulgogi brothers delivers not only w/ taste but w/ authenticity and respect to korean dishes.
