Founded in 1998, The Drawing Room originally focused on exhibiting works on paper. Then, they expanded on featuring contemporary art across all mediums. Today, it represents some of the country’s established and emerging artists, often throwing them into the international creative scene. I love it here because the pieces are often affordable. Plus, the staff are always so willing to help you navigate the space.

Located in Ap Lei Chau, Young Soy is the home for unconventional artists, art works and prints to amass, and is also a place that you can wind up at. They host differently-themed art shows like the ‘Monsters & Makers’ exhibit, which tackles life to death, Gods to villains, ancient to contemporary, and all else in between—quirky, isn't it? Aside from this, they are very much active digitally through video production and by promotional posts on their social media platforms. Young Soy Gallery is for those who love to celebrate cultural diversity and the world beyond ours!
Current Plans
Art enthusiasts and gamers would definitely enjoy every first Thursday of the month! Current Plans hosts events in which you could meet, share, and play with people of the same interest. The place is equipped with gaming consoles and VR devices, and you can enjoy talks and workshops from artists of all kinds (gamers, programmers, musicians, web designers, etc.) Aside from this, they also host art therapy through performance art workouts. This art space is free of entry with no booking required. Enjoy their exhibits and amass yourself a variety of photobooks, ceramics, and tees from their concept shop!
