Wat Phra Kaew as known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha is one of the most important Buddhist temples in Thailand. ~ Located in the historic centre of Bangkok and within the grounds of the Grand Palace. the highly revered Buddha image meticulously carved from a single block of jade. ~ The king changes its golden garments on the statue for each of the three seasons. A seasonal cloak that changed 3 times a year to correspond to the summer, winter, and rainy season. • FYI: the complete name of this temple is Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram วัดพระศรีรัตนศาสดาราม #FunFact • Can’t wait to see your beauty for real!😍

This is one of Thailand’s sacred temples. Main Attraction: Emerald Buddha

Wander into Wat Phra Kaew and marvel at its main attraction: the Emerald Buddha. Carved from a single block of jade, the statue was discovered in 1464 when a bolt of lightning hit a decorative stucco coating in a temple to reveal the jade underneath it. Local legends note that Hindu demigods Vishnu and Indra created the statuette under the prediction that Buddha would provide five lands with religion. Nestled in the historic center of the city, the temple is viewed with great respect and reverence, as it remains to be one of Thailand’s most sacred temples.

Sensō-ji (金龍山浅草寺, Kinryū-zan Sensō-ji) is an ancient Buddhist temple located in Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan. It is Tokyo's oldest temple, and one of its most significant. Formerly associated with the Tendai sect of Buddhism, it became independent after World War II. Adjacent to the temple is a five-story pagoda, the Asakusa Shinto shrine,[1] as well as many shops with traditional goods in the Nakamise-dōri. When we went there there’s a lot of people. If you have kids and still riding a stroller, they have a lift so you can enter the temple. I will recommend this place.

Missing Thailand 🇹🇭— the food, the shopping and the temples Wat Pho (the Temple of the Reclining Buddha), or Wat Phra Chetuphon, is right behind the Temple of the Emerald Buddha – it’s a must-see for any first-time visitor to Bangkok. You should also try their streetfoods— pad thai and mango sticky rice. Don’t forget to ride a tuktuk
