Traversed 3 hours from Taipei to catch a glimpse of the cherry blossoms. Failed. So we did what any tourist would do—we ATE. 😂

Named after Ming Dynasty scholar Wang Yangming, 𝗬𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 is the treasure trove of wonders for the Taipei expat and well deserves its reputation as the 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗻. Here are some highlights to get your bucket list started: 🔸 soak in the local hot springs 🔸 visit historical buildings 🔸 wander through flower gardens 🔸 take scenic hikes through forests or grasslands 🔸 feast on sweeping vistas and great photo-ops. Bangkok suffers from a lack of green spaces. As part of a Green Bangkok 2030 project the city is building new parks. I recently visited the "soft opened" Benchakitti Park Phase 3 and was impressed! It's a huge new extension to the existing park next to Queen Sirikit convention centre. You can enter on foot at the south end of Sukhumvit Soi 10 (the other pedestrian gates are not open yet) and once you are inside you feel a world away from Bangkok. There are dedicated cycle lanes and pedestrian paths and skywalks, crisscrossing a huge green area of trees, scrub and wetlands. At the moment there are few facilities besides some toilets, so bring drinks and snacks. Best to visit early morning or after 4pm when it's not too hot - though there was more shade than I expected i wouldn't go for a jog here in the midday Bangkok sun! This will definitely be a jewel in the crown on Bangkok once fully open, so come visit before the crowds arrive.

I love going to parks more than restaurants, and this one’s on top of my list! Spending time here makes me forget about the hustle and bustle of the city for a while. It’s also the largest park in Central London, and there’s a plethora of outdoor activities to try out! On my bucket list is to ride a boat on Serpentine Lake where I can see interesting wildlife species

Huge park with lots of nature! Bicycles can be rented too around the park. One of my favourite parks in London.
