Black Scoop Cafe

Quezon City, Philippines • Recommendation •

The place has good ambiance -- quiet enough to focus and work but enough noise to remind you that you're not alone. Not that expensive food and friendly staffs.

Best tapsilog in town! Cheap food for students who are on the budget but the taste will not disappoint you. (Tip: the UP Men's Basketball team practices in the gym next door 😉)

I'm a cbtl lover so this is definitely my go-to cafe to chill. The area itself is not that peaceful because it's near the entrance but it's a nice place to catch up with your friends. Plus, most of the time there are dogs that you can play with!

Fully Booked

Quezon City, Philippines • Recommendation •

Best place to spend your money on. I can never visit UPTC and not go to Fully Booked because I just love being surrounded by books. They have reasonable prices on their books plus the books are well-wrapped so you know that there are no dents and marks on your books.

Quezon City, Philippines • Recommendation •

Good food for students on a budget. Their foods are filling but not that expensive considering that they're steaks.

Crazy Chicken

Different flavors of chicken but everything is cheap. The last time we ate here, I think the 3 pieces chicken were only around 100 pesos. Definitely for students on a budget. I recommend the orange flavored chicken for sweet and salty taste.

Definitely a must-have if you're in the UP area! It's quite pricy for a siomai but for a reason! They are one of the best eggs-in-a-siomai places I have ever visited. We always go here after exams because we wanted to treat ourselves with amazing siomai and pantea.
