Siargao, a teardrop-shaped small island located on the northeastern coast of Mindanao, is known as the country's Surfing Capital and is one of the best tourist spots in the Philippines. In 2019, Siargao was named by Conde Nast Traveler readers as the Best Island in the World. However, last December 2021 Siargao experienced a typhoon. Many families are affected by the Typhoon Odette.
