The 7,107 islands of the Pearl of the Orient Seas boast of cultures, language, sounds, and sights that are as lively as its people
Makati City
The one where I share the (past and present) Lemi Team members’ favorite places for meals and snacks.
At ₱100, about US$2, you already get a generous serving of Liempo (deep-fried pork belly) good for two. You can get Liempo anywhere, actually; though I personally think this recipe is the only one worth lining up for! Enjoy it like any Filipino would: with a heaping plate of rice and liver sauce!
Don Carlos Palanca Street, Legazpi Village, Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines
One of the best jolly jeeps (roadside canteens) this side of Legazpi Village! They have a good variety of breakfast, lunch, and snack options, and the owners/servers are all so nice!
106-110 Don Carlos Palanca Street, Legazpi Village, Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines
*The* place to get a quick breakfast or brunch fix when we get to the office because of their fast service and considerable menu. Don’t dismiss it because it’s a humble kiosk. Their Tuna Grilled Cheese and Sausage Breakfast sandwiches won’t fail to perk you up in the morning!
Ground Level OPL Building , Don Carlos Palanca Street, Legazpi Village, Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines
A small food court with a good number of meal choices. I personally recommend Suki-Gyouza, Ono Poké, and Old-Fashioned Tapa. They also serve Sugarbee cakes and pastries. Get the Salted Caramel one for dessert!
JSCO Building, 119 Dela Rosa Street, Legazpi Village, Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines
Our favorite, whether for lunch or merienda! Order 6 pieces for ₱80 or 12 pieces for ₱150!
The Pantree, JCSO Building l, 119 Dela Rosa Street corner Castro Street, Legazpi Village, Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines
They serve generous portions of freshly prepared poké bowls. Try the Aburi Garlic Tuna Bowl with brown rice—my favorite!
119 Dela Rosa Street, Legazpi Village, Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines
Another Lemi Team favorite in Manila, one serving of Sisig with rice is PHP60 (about USD1.50). This famous deep-fried recipe is cooked fresh during lunchtime served with egg and a dollop of mayonnaise. Lines get really long, so go early if you can! It’s not for the faint of heart and stomach because Sisig is made of pig’s face as the main ingredient. It sure is yummy, though.
102 Rada, Legazpi Village, Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines
When you need your milk tea fix in the middle of the day, this is still the best! The waiting time can get long, but good things come to those who wait. If you already know what you want to order, call ahead! They can prepare it before you get there, so you can just pick it up. I always get my Malty Choco (with pearls) and Spicy Squid whenever I get Serenitea.

When we’re looking for a quick Korean ice cream fix, this is where we go! 🍦
Rada Street, Legazpi Village, Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines
When we want to binge on Filipino food, this is where we go. Make sure to order the House Crispy Sisig and Sinigang na Beef Short Rib & Watermelon! Polish off your meal with my personal favorite on the dessert menu: Puto Bumbong.
Level 1, Greenbelt 2, Ayala Center, Greenbelt, Makati City, Philippines
Our current obsession. We love their Char Kway Teow, Roti Canai Supreme (with Cheese and Banana)! I also order Iced Teh Tarik to complete my meal. 😋
Second Floor Greenbelt 3, Ayala Center, Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines
A restaurant that offers all-organic comfort food truly good for the soul. I always feel like a million bucks after eating here! My personal picks off of the menu: • Cali Toast (The best! 💯 Pictured as the cover of this list!) • Margarita Pizza • Truffle Mushroom Pasta • Be Clean Detox Juice
Ground Floor Greenbelt 2 Esperanza St, Cor Greenbelt Dr, Ayala Center, Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines
A great dinner spot for big groups! The Finds Team tried their Corned Beef Sinigang, Rated GG, Grilled Squid, and Garlicky Adobo. All 💯!
Ground Floor, Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center, Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines
Indulge on flavored fries to keep hunger pangs at bay in the middle of the day. I personally prefer the Mega Fries, so I can get two flavors. My winning combos: Cheese + Truffle, Cheese + Sour Cream, Barbecue + Truffle!
Level 1, Greenbelt 1, Legaspi Street, Ayala Center, Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines
One of my go-tos for a refreshing drink in the middle of the day. Go for the Jumbo Lemon Special Cooler with QQ Jelly at 50% sugar level!
Level 1, Greenbelt 1, Ayala Center, Legaspi Street, Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines
When I want my milk tea but not the guilt, FRNK lets me indulge with all of their yummy concoctions! So far, my favorites are the Baked Purple Chizu with Blue Tea Mochi and the Blue Lava Miruku!
Ground Floor, Glorietta 3, Ayala Center, Glorietta Complex, Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines
Their Kani & Mozzarella is the best! Get six pieces at just PHP119 (about USD1.50)! So. Good.
