During my college days, the hustle of my priorities held me back from travelling to places I wanted to visit. But that also taught me to open my eyes to places just within my reach. Since I live in Cavite and with all the stress I’m absorbing from my hectic schedule, providing myself a breathing space was very important. That is why I discovered the simple things that gave me peace and rejuvenate the vibrancy that I’m losing.
I discovered this when I was looking for a place to practice for my photography class. I was really surprised when I found this since it’s just at least five minutes away from my home. The place is so different from the other establishments surrounding it since we don’t usually have coffee places near us. Once you enter the place you will be instantly hit by the fragrance of various herbs and flowers that you can buy. The food was also superb! They will make sure that you won’t have just instagramable dishes but also healthy varieties.
San Francisco, General Trias, Cavite, Philippines
Since I’m a writer and my room is bound to reach its limit to give me the ideas I needed, I usually look for coffee shops to spend hours where I can find the right boost of new inspirations. Luckily last year we finally have a Coffee Project near us. It can even be walking distance if I’m feeling energetic. What I love about this place is that it’s not crowded unlike other coffee shops since it’s located far from the city. I also enjoyed not only their choices of beverages but also their food selections that they cook on the spot. I don’t like eating coffee shop food because it always comes dry since it is just heated by a microwave which is not the case at this place.
Arnaldo Hwy, General Trias, Cavite, Philippines
I visited this place with my friends to shoot for a project. It’s the perfect place because it’s just walking distance from the university and also it has picturesque interior that we need. After the shoot we decided to visit one of the three restaurants in there and we were not disappointed. It was inexpensive but the taste was to die for. Adding to that, the aesthetic of the place is amazing. You will really feel like you’re part of the royalty once you enter the place.

What I like about this place is that it’s very post worthy. I like how they keep the balance of the aesthetic between elegant and casual.

On our way to tagaytay we found this outlet mall full of high-end stores. But what is amazing about the place is that they put personality in it. You’ll come across old telephone booth, a windmill, and even bicycles.

This was once called “Palace in the Sky” which is one of the historical places in Cavite. It was an unfinished mansion built during the marcos era. When you visit the place you will get the vibe of both of the old and modern times. It is located at the highest point of Tagaytay where you can see every bit of the beauty of the city.
Tagaytay - Calamba Rd, Tagaytay, Cavite, Philippines
It was difficult to find the place since it was located at the edge of Laguna where the bay is just within your reach but the moment you see this place, it will be really worth it. It’s nestled at a serene and rustic-themed place where you can relax while enjoying the view and watch the sunset and wait for the night where you can let all the stress go and indulge with their food selections and beverages, both alcoholic and non alcoholic.
Unnamed Rd, San Antonio, Biñan, Laguna, Philippines
We stayed here overnight and it was worth it. The accommodation is inexpensive and the food was fresh and delicious. They usually offer selections of food from their catch if the day since the place is located near fishing areas. We also enjoyed the overall feels of the place since it was hidden away from the crowd of resorts and we get to have the place for ourselves. Its old and rustic vibes are also a plus.
