Izakaya Kikufuji

Makati City, Philippines • Recommendation •

Izakaya Kikufuji is one of those who serve authentic Japanese food in the metro. If I am not mistaken, this is the only branch they have. They have a wide selection of food and even drinks! I personally love the spicy maguro and ultimate maki. If you're craving for some Japanese food and can't travel yet to Japan — Izakaya Kikufuji is the next best place for you to try it!

El Poco Cantina

Makati City, Philippines • Recommendation •

El Poco Cantina is the next authentic Mexican food I have tried in the metro. Pre-Covid, they have this cute space in Taft near DLSU-CSB & St. Scholatisca — the community they created is very unique, where people dine and talk to the owners, yes, the owners are the one operating the business too! Now, they are only accepting deliveries. You can find them in Food Panda. Before I forget, my personal faves are Burrito, Quesa, Nachos and their newest product, Birria!

AUsome cookies

Manila, Philippines • Recommendation •

If you have sweet tooth (like me), then you need to try this! When there was a huge hype about Ube Cheese Pandesal, it was their UCP that made me buy it all the time. They are also baking cookies, revel bars and recently they started doing Caramel Cake and Basque Burnt Cheesecake. Interesting fact about this store is that, the son of the owner is diagnosed with AUtism hence, AUsome is the name. And Matteo, the AUsome kid is helping his mom bake the food and making it their bonding!
