Eiffel Tower

Paris, France • Memory •

The Eiffel Tower is an iconic symbol of Paris and for good reason. By daytime, you will feel a sense of tranquility while looking at the architectural wonder standing majestically with the turquiose blue sky as its backdrop. By nighttime, La Tour Eiffel is mesmerizing to watch as its lights flicker on and off during its amazing light show.

It takes several hours to reach the top of Jungfraujoch, which is located 11,371 feet above sea level, but the scenic views of the Swiss Alps in Switzerland will keep you from being bored during the train ride. My brother and I enjoyed having a fun snowball fight and making snow angels in the powdery snow. The chocolates sold at Jungfraujoch, which contain jawdropping views of the Swiss Alps, make the best souvenirs.

I want to include the Sistine Chapel ceiling but cameras are not allowed inside the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City. One tip I'd like to share for visitors: there is a seating area on either sides of the chapel where you can sit down while admiring this masterpiece of Michelangelo. I noticed that some ushers push tourists forward if you stand too long in the middle of the chapel so I recommend that you stay at the sidelines so you can study the painting for much longer. You can take photos of Michelangelo's sculpture, the Pieta, which is housed in St. Peter's Basilica.

The Bloemendaal aan Zee beach in Amsterdam is a bustling spot where you can try surfing or windsurfing. The water was freezing even though it was the middle of summertime when we visited. The sandy shore stretches for miles and one portion is even dedicated as a nude beach but we were unable to find that specific area.
