I want to seek my own escape from the knots and tangles of not knowing myself enough. Perchance, a good emancipation is to be spiritually healed. Through a sojourn in Bangkok’s WAT ARUN, peace wouldn’t be that far miles away anymore from your heart. The temple is known to be the “Temple of Dawn”, and for sure, the temple will give you enlightenment before dawn strikes. It is one of the major temples in Bangkok that houses Buddhism, hence, one can actually meditate here (If there wouldn’t be much people). In this temple, tourists can enjoy climbing up its steep stairs and reach the main prang of the temple. After this strenuous activity under the hot sun, you can see the scenic view of Bangkok and picturesque of Chao Phraya River on the side. So, just like what others say, everything is more worth it with a little sacrifice. Neverthless, you wouldn’t regret having this TEMPLE RUN!
Wat Arun, better known as 'The Temple of Dawn', is the iconic temple along Bangkok's riverside that you usually see on sunset postcards. As an architect, I know the importance of stupas in Buddhist architecture where the top symbolically represents the six heavens. What makes this temple so different from a typical Buddhist temple are the colored faience, which is encrusted with colorful porcelain and seashells, creating a kaleidoscope of colors and reflections at different times of the day. Tip: Don't forget about the smaller Ordination Hall which has less crowds but is just as amazing! (All photos: Self-taken.)
From the picture itself, it looks spectacular! The temple is home to five towering prangs, or towers, which can be seen from the river. These are covered with vibrant porcelain and colorful ceramic tiles, many of which are made to look like pieces of foliage.

This temple is unquestionably one of the most Instagrammed places in BKK to date. Named after the Indian God of Dawn, Aruna, the site is particularly known for its spire (or the prahng, as the locals would call it) which towers for about 70 meters high. The iconic landmark is a beauty on its own—with its intricate patterns deeply influenced by Chinese, Indian, and Khmer cultures. It is believed that the architectural design was inspired by Mount Meru, which is said to be the center of all the physical and spiritual universes.

As I said, Thailand is famous in their temple structure. Preserving the majestic structure of their temple is one of the great investment because tourists would love to visit! After seeing alot of reviews about Thailand, my soul is starving!
