4Telesfora Beach Cottage was my little island getaway in El Nido. Accredited by the DOT, it's the perfect spot if you want to stay somewhere quiet, simple, a little closer to town, and with a beach front. The owners are very accommodating and recommended a few places for me to visit as well as restaurants to order from. Although the restaurant/bar isn't open, they do serve breakfast every morning. Just sitting by the beach and being able to watch the gorgeous sunsets here did wonders for my soul. It felt like home. It's not near any of the fancy places El Nido is known for, but it is beautiful. I'd definitely come back here next time.

6Stumbled upon this gem while looking for a convenient store. I was pleasantly surprised they were not only open for take-out and delivery, but dine-in as well. With a modern-food-truck-meets-island-vibe, Thery's offers burgers, fries, and shakes with no fuss and quality ingredients. I ordered their chicken burger with a tonic and was not disappointed. The vegetables were crisp, the sauces were generous, and the chicken was firm on the outside and juicy on the inside. Every bite was savored. The service was excellent as well. The owner was friendly and the delivery time was short and sweet. With a second floor, you can enjoy the sunset view while enjoying your meal. It was bliss.
