La Union is a province in the Philippines located in the Ilocos Region in the island of Luzon, though San Juan is not the capital of this province but I think this city made a major impact when it comes to tourism, it was called "The Surfing Capital of the Northern Philippines". I remembered going here for the first time last 2014 and I suddenly fell in-love with the laid back vibe whether sunrise, chill after noon or the most amazing sunset view, I even go there 3-5 times in a year before pandemic. How to get there? BUS: Partas Bus Pasay or Cubao branch bound to Abra or Ilocos (tell the conductor to drop you at San Juan) Cost Rate: Php 450-500 Travel time: 5-6 hours max CAR: 4-5 hours max via NLEX,SCTEX and TPLEX (Rosario or Pozzorubio exit) for an updated road section see www.dpwh.gov.ph/dpwh or just type in on your Waze app San Juan,La Union. Tip: -Book your accommodation, 1 or 3 weeks before your travel date as weekend are always in full occupancy.
