Encima Roofdeck Restaurant

Makati City, Philippines • Recommendation •

Encima Roofdeck Restaurant is one of the awesome spots to chill around Poblacion, Makati. It is a great place to experience Tex-Mex cuisine. Encima Roofdeck Restaurant is impressively splendid because of its overlooking view of Makati Skyline, particularly during sunset. Take note they are open every day from 4 PM to 12 Midnight. Aside from these, the place is inviting, very chill and perfect for Barkadas Night out. Their staffs are welcoming and vigilant to serve their guests. When you visit this place never forget to try their stupendous treats. Here are some of their refreshing drinks; we had their Strawberry Buko Melon which is my top favorite. It is a combination of frozen strawberries, Nestle’s Buko Melon, triple sec, tequila, sweet & sour plus decorated with fresh sliced strawberries and aromatic basil leaves. If you’re not satisfied with this, remember one is definitely not enough! Aside from that, we also had their Buko Melon Surprise; it was served on a fresh buko husk, a very brilliant idea! It is a tropical cocktail mixed with different alcoholic drinks such as triple sec, vodka, rhum, sweet & sour mix and tequila. You can also try their Pina Cubana, a tropical drink as well; it is composed of fresh pineapple tidbits mixed with Nestle Pineapple Guyabano, vodka, Rum, Gin, sweet and sour mix, triple sec. It’s perfectly mixed in a whole pineapple, an awesome presentation! So witty! Lastly, the Pina Guyabano it’s a mixed of Nestle Pineapple Guyabano drink with vodka, gin, rum triple sec, and sweet and sour mix. Everything’s awesome, very tasteful and will surely help soothe stress! Of course, do not miss their Chili Pork Ribs together with the freshly made tortilla and Mexican Rice. It’s superb and delicious! Make sure to squeeze the lime, it adds flavor on this. What I loved with this place is they are very resourceful and environment friendly, feels like on a vacation spot while trying all of these! Good job, I salute you guys! See you again, will surely go back here and watch the night sky while chilling.

Wicked Dogs

Makati City, Philippines • Recommendation •

Another instagrammable spot in Makati was discovered; Wicked Dogs is located on the 2nd floor of Lokal Hostel in Poblacion. It’s a bit small with unique and amazing interior designs. They have swings per table and the light inside are Instagram worthy. We have tried several finger food and refreshing drinks here, and t’was awesome. Nestle House Blend mixed with Dark Rhum and sliced cucumber on top is one of my favorite drinks. The taste is not that solid. It’s perfect for unwinding. Don’t miss out to pair your drinks here with their tasty and not so oily finger food. You should try their Fat and cheesy onion rings, cheese bombs and the Tex-Mex Chili Sticks. My top favorite among all the finger food is their Onion Rings; it’s not ordinary because of the mozzarella. It’s superb! Everything was okay; the servings, the crew and their drinks! I will definitely be back here for more.

Señor Pollo is an open space Latin American cuisine with affordable meals and spectacular mural paintings. Extremely stunning ambiance, ‘cause I’m an avid fan of arts! It is located at 5767 Ebro Street, Poblacion, Makati City. I am happy that I was able to try this hidden restaurant in Poblacion, Makati. They have friendly staffs with excellent service, plus their meals were scrumptious and drinks. My top favorite here is their Señor Pollo Roast Chicken, their best seller; the spicy flavor is superb. It’s tasty and juicy. It’s perfect to pair with their Buko Melon and Buko Coquito, my top faves for their beverages. And also don’t forget to try their nachos and the side dishes! Super yum! Will definitely recommend this to my friends. And will visit this soonest! Keep up the good work, Señor Pollo.

One of the most welcoming and coziest places I’ve ever tried in Poblacion, Makati. The place is really unique. I love the set up and the materials they used inside, very resourceful and so eco-friendly. They are happy to serve and yes! Excellent service. We got to try their Sriracha Chix Poppers one of the best on their menu, it’s not that spicy but it’s perfect for people who doesn’t love spicy food. And also my favorite their Ma-ling Chips, it’s yummy and perfect pulutan for every visit here. Must try also their Squid Balls on sticks (12 pieces) it’s not typical because they used house blend sauce to make something different. To make your night visit here amazing, you must try their Guyabano Pineapple Bomb mixed with Jaegermeister and Guyabano-Pineapple of Nestle. They made a twist to brighten up your night! So awesome! You should visit this place and have a perfect night out! Enjoy!0

Pura Vida

Makati City, Philippines • Recommendation •

After work and heavy traffic, I just found another cozy place to enjoy the night. Since no work the next day, just tried Pura Vida in Poblacion, Makati City. FYI, “Pura Vida” (pronounces poo-rah vee-dah). And defined as “simple life” or “pure life”, the first time I entered here, it looks scary but it’s amazing when you’re inside, the place has beautiful interior designs with color-schemes of yellow, green and red. I love the set-up, especially the rope with lights and the swings in front of their bar. It’s really eye-catching. It is one of the ingenious places I’ve ever tried. Their staffs were very friendly and welcoming. When it comes to their dishes, it was simple but absolutely scrumptious, tasty and appetizing. I got to try their Casados; it’s a Costa Rican-style lunch for only ₱350. It is composed of Rice, beans, plantains, picadillo, salad, white cheese and Carne en Salsa (beef stew). The serving size is quite small, though its taste is a winner! It was all good. To end my stay here, I tried their Mojito. It’s refreshing! But my top favorite was their Purple Wave, it tastes great, the alcohol content is not that strong. I enjoyed it! Will definitely go back here with my friends soon!
