After countless burritos, tacos, and nachos, here are my favorite Mexican joints in the Metro!
I inherited my parents' love for Mexicali—the place being one of their favorite date spots in the past. It's where I first learned how to properly eat a burrito. The quality may have changed (or is it my taste?), but Mexicali will stay in my heart forever. I always get the steak burrito; and I also enjoy the sauces that come with the nachos.

Okay fine, Silantro's technically not Mexican since it's Filipino-Mex fusion, but I have to add it to this list because of their divine nachos! I always order a serving, no fail. It's enough a meal on its own, especially the meat-loaded option. I always get the plain nachos though; I feel like it tastes better—and it doesn't make me feel too sinful afterwards.

Lagrima deserves all the praise for their homemade tortillas! Try the quesadillas, they're absolutely delightful. Their nachos are also great; I feel like there's some kind of addictive ingredient in that cheese, because I can never get enough.

Everything you get here is guaranteed to put a smile on your face! I've yet to taste real Mexican food (you know, that's really from Mexico) but I reckon it's something like Lo de Alberto's menu. The staff are superb at their Makati branch—friendly, efficient, and quick! The Gorditas are a must-try; it was so good, my friends and I ordered another one right after finishing one plate!

My go-to for a reliable Mexican food fix. Their servings are massive, and their options are easy to choose from. They also serve delicious cocktails to go with your meal!

Tucked in the streets of Poblacion, El Chupacabra always satisfies with scrumptious Mexican fare that always seems to go perfectly with a cold beer.

On top of my must-try list! Any recommendations on what I should order? 🤔
