Exotic, adventurous, and beguiling, Indonesia gives you an infinite chance at new and exciting experiences
Bali
Surfers far and wide make a pilgrimage to Bali to surf its marvelous barrels (the hollows of a wave). The island has naturally transformed into a haven for riders, with surf bars, board shops, and after-wave hangouts popping up in droves. We’ve scoured the land for the best retreats! Recharge with a cup of coffee at a café, mingle with the community at a local space, or take a nap at a quiet at a quiet homestay. The inland comes alive when the swells (surfable waves) die down, so keep up with the pace!
After hitting the morning tubes, grab a healthy brunch at Crate! A visit here is made more special by the warm welcome of the neighborhood, spearheaded by owners Nyoman and Maree. Their new location is quite far from the shore, but delicious Brekkies (breakfast plates), Toasties, and Smoothie Bowls keep people coming. They also pour out a robust blend of coffee; their mix of beans from Sumatra, Java, and Bali will give you enough jolt to keep the day running. The space doubles as an exhibit and a boutique, displaying artworks and fashion labels by natives.

An eccentric mix of people make up the regular crowd, but everyone shares a common hang-loose lifestyle. You’re bound to make a few friends here and there, especially when Sunday rolls out live music. Pop in on Tacos-N-Tatt-Tuesdays to get Mexican street food, a few tipples, and some fresh ink!
