On the corner of Soi Samran Rat in the Phra Nakhon area of Bangkok humbly stands Raan Jay Fai, a tiny, one Michelin Star open kitchen where hawker food items take center stage. Watch the “Queen of Thai street food,” endearingly known as Auntie Fai (you’ll recognize her as the old lady in ski goggles), cook her famous Crab Omelettes, Crab Curries, and Dry Congee over her homemade charcoal stove.

This night was surreal and special, we booked for their special menu for 2021 New Year’s Eve countdown. The food choices we made are gastronomic. I posted their special NYE menu in the photos. We had pizza, pasta, pan-grilled chops and their house platter. We left the place happily remembering the ultimate experience of having good food, the best 360 view in the eve of New Year and most of all, having our furbabies with us to welcome the new year 🥹 We couldn’t ask for a more perfect date.

Pizza, Pasta, Drinking and Coffee place in one. The perfect spot to unwind without compromising the quality of food. Their meals are good for sharing I’d say you’ll get the value for your money. Bonus points for the interiors, too! Although it may not be a place for someone who likes well-lit places cos they go for warm and dim lights inside. They do have an Al Fresco setup just near the entrance door, but it won’t give you the same ambiance as when you’re dining inside.
