Head to Beijing Olympic Park to see the remaining icons from the 2008 Olympics. Its centerpiece is the National Stadium (also known as Bird’s Nest), a remarkable arena crafted from 42,000 tons of steel! Take a lap via a rented Segway around the massive space which held the event’s opening and closing ceremonies. Nearby, visit the National Aquatics Center (nicknamed the Water Cube) where Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps set his first few world records. The pool has since been transformed into a full-on water park. You may also pop in at the Olympic Forest Park—now the biggest urban landscape in Asia!
