If you're looking for a getaway with your family (talking about little kids in tow), you may check this list for some destinations I've been with my family as well as my recommendations.
Looking for a quick family getaway? Tagaytay it is! And when in Tagaytay, book a stay at Twin Lakes Hotel. Twin Lakes is a family-friendly hotel perfect for an overnight getaway to relax and unwind with the whole family. Swimming pool is one of my considerations when choosing a staycation destination. Twin Lakes has a beautiful infinity pool with the scenic Taal Volcano as a backdrop. Breakfast for two comes with your room for free. Enjoy other amenities during your stay such as gym, game room, and play room. Customer service is great!

With TPLEX in place, it takes shorter hours to travel up north and enjoy the nostalgic cold breeze that touches your skin. I've always had good memories in Baguio from the first time I went up there in the 90s as an adventurous high school girl, til the last one with my own family. When with family, make sure to visit The Botanical Garden, The Mansion, Wright Park, Burnham Park, BenCab Museum, Strawberry Farm, Minesview, and Baguio Central Market to buy local products. If you have time go to night markets for awesome Ukay Ukay finds too. Also experience the awesome food that many restos offered while there. Don't forget to choose an accommodation with a real fireplace to complete the Baguio experience.
Baguio City Hall, City Hall Dr, Baguio, 2600 Benguet
This is the island that I always daydream about teleporting to whenever I feel stressed out. I mean who wouldn't? This island is situated in the Visayas region of the Philippines. It's one of the tourists favorite places to visit in the county, why not? Its white powdery sand is like no other. The sunrise and sunsets are always magnificent. The sound of the waves is calming. Walking from station 1 - 3 is what makes it more fun because you get to see local and international restaurants, D Mall activities and shops, wet market, pasalubong bazaars and Paluto at Station 3, Jonah's Fruit Shakes, Choriburgers, and their famous Calamansi Muffins at Real Coffee. Now that it's rehabilitated, I can't wait to come back and once again be captivated in awe at its glorious beauty! I love Boracay! I love the Philippines!

When in Tagaytay, Taal Vista is where people want to stay and take photos with the majestic Taal Volcano as backdrop. Staying at Taal Vista will take you back in time. A hallway is dedicated to tell its rich history with framed photos of when it was built and how it looked like before. It's also a hotel good for conventions and other events because of its number of function rooms. I love big breakfasts and they surely know how to make their guests happy - BACON is available in their breakfast menu. They have an organic garden where grow their own vegetables and herbs which they use for the meals they serves guests. Swimming pools are also a available for families who want to swim and play. Personally staying in the hotel is enough. But if you want to explore Tagaytay, you can visit the picnic grove, Mahogany Market, Ming's Garden (and other gardens), Breakfast at Antonio's, Bag of Beans, Sonjas's Garden, and many more.
