So Matt why are you writing a travel guide for a hospital? Well Bangkok is a major destination for medical tourism and one of the biggest private hospitals in Bangkok is Bumrungrad hospital. so if you are here as a patient or a visitor you might as well know the best places to eat and shop!

26F of hospital building has a nice outside garden. Welcome center on 10F of the clinic building has free Arabic coffee, and a business center where you can do photocopies and printing. There are mini fridges scattered around with free water and juice. 17F of clinic building (children's section) has two kids play areas and soy milk in the fridges. Women's center on 3F hospital building has chysathemum tea.

Nana BTS station is about a 10 minutes walk to the hospital. There's also a shuttle bus.

Phloen Chit station is a slightly shorter walk but you have to cross a couple of roads so I'd recommend getting off at Nana instead.

2Food court on 2F of the hospital building has a variety of cuisines at cheap prices. It's in a temporary location while the main food court is renovated in 2020 Top up a prepaid card and use that to buy your food. The Chinese noodles with duck at Golden Noodle are recommended, and the Indian Halal options are good. Also has a Starbucks and a McDonalds (order table service via the kiosks instead of lining up) nearby.
