Checking out Bangkok’s latest mixed use development on opening day!

Bangkok’s newest and glitziest mall opened today. Named ICONSIAM it cost over a billion dollars to construct. There are great views over the Chao Phraya River to enjoy. I’ve picked out a few places in and around to check out!

The most fun way to get there is to take the BTS Skytrain to Saphan Taksin station, then hop on one of the free shuttle boats to ICONSIAM which run every 10 minutes. Sit upstairs and you’ll get some nice views along the river on your short mini cruise!

At last Bangkok has a real Apple Store! There is a Genius Bar so you can get your macs and iDevices fixed. Walk outside for a big outdoor terrace with great views of the river and a light show at night.

The latest branch of reliable Thai restaurant Nara. The crispy pork is great, and check out the bright blue butterfly pea rice! Considering this was their first day service was flawless.
