Two weeks before trip: I remember telling myself that the next time I visit Japan, staying in a capsule hotel would be on the list of must-do’s. Hope this one’s a goodie! —————— Me and my friend stayed here for three nights, and it was such a cool experience! Our cabins (we called them space pods though) we’re so cozy at night and we’re actually quite spacious. The rest of the facilities we’re great as well - the toilets, showers & lockers we’re clean, the staff were super accommodating, and bonus, there’s a small coffee shop in the lobby! 😊👍🏽 A definite recommendation .... unless you’re claustrophobic 😅

My best friend and I planned a trip to Tokyo last November to see Taylor Swift on the last stop of her world tour. Because it was a quick trip of 4 days and 3 nights, we decided to stay in a *drum roll* ... Capsule Hotel! We get to the hotel and were greeted by a small coffee shop called Glitch coffee. Daily check in and check out was necessary but lockers are provided for storage. Boys and girls had separate sleeping floors as well as toilets and showers. The capsules or as we would like to call them "space pods" were surprisingly comfy and cozy. 😊✌🏼 P.S. This might not be the best idea if you're claustrophobic 😅

I am a little picky with accommodations when traveling and spacepods are something I am kind of unwilling to try. What’s great about Nine Hours is that it’s in Japan where it’s generally safe and clean. 😬

Communal showers are the norm here, but there’s also a public bath to melt away the inhibitions.
Nine Hours (Shinjuku North)
Nine Hours’ multifunctional, minimalist space attracts business people on-the-go. Stay the night at a comfortable high-tech capsule, rent a desk for a few hours to get some work done, or pay a fixed rate to take a shower! There are no food and drinks available here, but there are nearby restaurants that offer filling meals as options.
