Words couldn't describe how it felt to be inside the S21 concentration camp. Inside you would bear witness to the tragedies that happened within the compound. Make sure to wear clothes that cover your shoulders and knee as a sign of respect for the victims.

This location is a little far off the center of Siem Reap. You'd have to take an hour long tuktuk ride to get here but it's definitely worth it. Here you would find out about how the landmines ended up in Cambodia and what organizations are currently doing to get rid of as many landmines as possible. Although the clearing excavation efforts have increased over the years, there are still a lot of areas marked as potentially dangerous. For this reason alone, it is advisable to explore the main tourist areas instead of wandering around the off beaten path when in Cambodia.
