Que Rico T-Shirt Co. is officially based out of Austin and Dallas, Texas. Created by best friends Roman Flores and Isaac Padilla, we wanted to create an apparel company that celebrated our Latino heritage. From tacos, chicle, or even piñatas, our designs mix humor and Latino pop culture with influences from our time growing up in Abilene, Texas. Since high school, we always knew we wanted to create a company by Latinos for the Latinx community and we’ve had fun seeing our brand grow and cross various generations and communities. ¡Hola Amigos! We’re the chicos from Que Rico! You might have seen us out and about while doing markets but we wanted to introduce ourselves and share a little about us and our brand. We’re Isaac & Roman, best friends since high school and the masterminds behind Que Rico T-shirt Co. Isaac handles the business side and the Dallas area while Roman handles the creative side and the Austin area. Que Rico T-Shirt Co. is a Latino-owned apparel company that mixes designs and humor with Latino pop culture and influences from our time growing up in West Texas. We grew up together in Abilene, Texas, and in high school, we had always talked about starting an apparel or design company. In 2013, we started a men’s accessory brand and ran that successfully for a few years. While at a wholesale show in Dallas in 2017, we noticed the lack of Latinx representation from vendors, and since we had talked about doing an apparel company for a while, we realized it was time to create our next venture. After this, we decided to shift gears and start a new company which became @quericotees. On our page, you’ll see pics of our camisas y más, markets where we are popping up, stores that carry our products, and a few of our favorite brands we love to support and feature. All of our products draw on the funny dynamics of our families and cultural backgrounds. Our creative brainstorming sessions are spent laughing and reminiscing about how we grew up, the phrases our parents or grandparents used to yell at us, and discussing our cultural differences. In a way, our brand keeps us connected to our culture and allows us to have fun while doing it. So thanks for checking out our page, getting to know a little about us, and supporting our brand.
