It’s not easy to find this museum, because it’s literally buried underneath the Al Fahidi Fort. Uber can drop you right by the entrance, and once you’ve seen the few items on display inside the fort, walk towards one of the guard towers which will lead you into the underground museum. They’ve got some intricate displays of the Bedouin lifestyle before oil was discovered in the region.

Want to buy some gold? This is the place to be. I was told the gold here is very affordable, although you’re gonna have to get used to excessive haggling. There are two shops in the middle of the souk which will literally blow you away with the amount of gold they have in the shop. You won’t miss it... there will be plenty of people standing outside taking pictures.

If you want an overnight desert safari experience, complete with a hot air balloon ride, this is the tour company to go with. Owned by the Shek hence the quality to details and customer experience is just spectacular. I think the photos probably speak best about the experience, so definitely check them out. Our guide was Hosam who’s been with the company since its inception. Ask for him if you can!
