I've been craving roast duck so badly (it's ridiculous!) so imagine my unhinged joy to finally try Wai Ying after my friends' recommendations. Arrived around noon on a Saturday, was 20th in line (they were serving the 15th). Worth the wait! Service was quick and friendly. Got my Roast Duck Rice with a side of Buchi and Hot HK Milk Tea. 💖
I’ve been eating at Wai Ying for years because there was a branch near my college, but the OG one in Benavidez Street is still the best. Tip: Get the Curry Beef Siomai. Finally tried it .... it’s life changing. 😩❤️
Expect hefty servings of meaty Dumplings and Dim Sum at this two-story restaurant. With prices that won’t break the bank, prime yourself to load up on dishes and baskets oozing with flavor, from Hakaw and Siu Mai to noodles. Remember to pace yourself and leave as much room as possible for more of what some say are the best Dumplings in Manila.

Tasty Dumplings
Something about the soft but firm texture of dumplings make me think that I might be addicted to it. One of the places that I could satisfy my craving around the area is Tasty Dumplings. Prices aren't that expensive and you get a wide variety of dumpling options to choose from- a lot of which you can't find at your "cheap mall dumpling carts" I highly recommend this place!
Angkong Dimsum House
We get a lot of gigs in the UST area or Manila in general, but I live in Cavite, so I have to get there really early like 2 in the afternoon even when the gig’s at 9 in the evening. It’s not a problem because I still have a lot of friends still studying or just living in the area, so we drop by Angkong’s. Their dimsum is extremely juicy and flavorful.
