Taipei, China • Memory •

Milk Tea Shop that originated in Taiwan. They say its a must-try when you visit the state but as for my opinion, it’s okay. Not to die for, but passable.

Taipei, China • Recommendation •

This place started out as Marton Resto in 2004. It was rebranded as Modern Toilet in 2006 showcasing a unique bathroom-themed restaurant. I recommend visiting the most popular store of Modern Toilet located in the busy Ximending shopping area.

TAIPEI 101 Tower

Taipei, China • Recommendation •

This shopping complex is the world's tallest building in 2004, and remained such until the completion of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai in 2010. This giant structure holds various shopping brands and a variety of food choices in their basement food court. Additional Fact: As of 2018, Taipei 101 is still the tallest building built in an earthquake zone. The structure of the tower was designed to resist an earthquake of 9 on the Richter scale.

The over-all museum area is huge!! I almost panicked cause I got separated from my family who were following a tour. Structure holds wide number of artifacts and artwork collections. Definitely recommendable!

Din Tai Fung (Taipei 101)

鼎泰豐

1 save

Taipei, China • Recommendation •

Din Tai Fung is the Legendary Xiao Long Bao (steamed dumplings) Restaurant in Taiwan that was established in 1974. Infamous Restaurant was named among the Top 10 Restaurants of the World by The New York Times in 1993 and was awarded One Michelin Star three times for its Hong Kong Branches in 2010, 2011, and 2012. The waiter who assisted our dining is a Filipino and based on our chit-chat, he is there to be trained cause soon after Din Tai Fung will open a branch in Manila. This was last 2015. What a coincidence, we experienced a history in the making when we met one of the first people who will bring the Din Tai Fung experience in our motherland. Over-all dining experience is very good and impressive in spite of the long line and long wait just to get a table. Good thing, it is now available in Manila where I can relive my dining memories in Taiwan.
