The prestigious Berklee College of Music goes beyond rhythm and beat. Let Celine, a proud alumna, take you to her frequent hangout places!
Boston, Cambridge
Berklee College of Music in Boston, not Berkeley in California. I was at Berklee for 2 and a half years, graduating in 2018. Majored in Professional Music (concentrating in Songwriting and Performance).

Right in the center of the Berklee campus! Proud to say that I was at their store opening. I always got the Fenway Special or a custom bowl. Salmon, unagi sauce, spicy mayo, crispy noodles... yes please! Plus, bottomless drinks (free refills). Not sure if they still do that but if they do, get the Vietnamese coffee or the taro.

You can always count on t-house for that post-rehearsal pick-me-up. Located next to the Berklee bookstore on the "Berklee beach" (the strip of pavement on Boylston Street where pale, vitamin D-deprived music students bask in the sun during short, beautiful Boston summers), Teriyaki House stays open until midnight on weekdays and 2am on weekends, because they just KNOW. Besides, what kind of musician sleeps before 3am anyway?

Another crowd favorite. Boloco stands for Boston Local Company (such a weird name for a Mexican food place) but it's arguably comparable to Chipotle's in terms of monetary value. It's relatively inexpensive for a decent amount of food, and can be quite healthy depending on what you order. I always get the summer bowl with chicken and guac and lettuce. Sometimes I replace rice with quinoa and minus the cheese if I feel guilty. Their smoothies are pretty good too! Worth checking out.

Find your average hipster here! Jokes aside, it's a great place to meet, hang out, have food and coffee (or another reflective moment) on the Berklee beach. Really nice in the summer, when you can enjoy your coffee in the sun.

My favorite is the Sophie burger, in a salad bowl.

Good, cheap, kind of fast, kind of healthy, great on-the-go. Get the app and you can order your food in advance too! Would not recommend hanging out here, since the smell is really strong, and everyone will know you were just at B Good.

Perfect “pho” snowy days! hahaha

Always worth it! Loved coming here to escape the pressures of school life. Crepes or cannoli's with coffees of your choice on the lower floor, next to big glass windows. Italian everything on the top floor. Avoid the cold weather by walking through the Prudential Center as much as possible.

My favorite salad place... Think I'm a 4-time gold-tier member or something. So healthy, so good, so worth it. Order using the app in advance, customize as much as you want, skip the line, and take it to-go.

There’s always a line around lunch/dinner time and they don’t take reservations. Perfect place to satisfy your ramen craving.

They WILL card you... One of my favorite (and few) memories here was hanging out with Arizona (the band) after their show opening for Kevin Garrett, since I was friends with the drummer.

Very “underground hipster” cool if you’re into that thing.

To be honest, I've never come here for food, just for bowling, pool and drinks. It's close to campus, so it's a fun place to hang out with friends at night. I recommend you go to Summer Shack (next door) for some good seafood before going bowling. Remember to wash your hands before and after though!

I’ve had way too much tasty burger... so good...

Cool place for gigs and ramen.
